Condition on this one is impressive. The outside has seen a few saves, must have been a butterfly goalie, but the inside padding and chin strap remarkably looks almost new. The stainless steel cage is missing some paint but that just means it works, pull it off dip it in some paint remover them repaint it any color you want (I would leave the cage its natural stainless color but that's just me). The harness still looks great would need to be replaced eventually, the manufacturer sells all of the extra pieces and parts for all their models even older ones via their site. I use a Wall myself, totally sold on it, even better than the Van Velden I loved for so many years. This a great equipment company that cares about their product and makes sure their customers have what they need, what a concept. They've been over the top every time I've dealt with them. The date date on the inside of the helmet is 3/2014. The cert sticker says: TYPE 1 ASTM F1587-99, and the faded handwritten date below it looks like 2018. Still lots of life in this great helmet. Maybe it's time to step up to a pro level helmet, or maybe your youngster is going through a growth spurt, either way this is a great buy and worth every penny.
