Up for sale is an old Japanese bronze mirror called Dokyo, decorated with amazing relief work. Please note that the object is over 150 years old and has physical depreciation due to its physical use as a mirror and age so please review photos as they are part of the actual description. Age: Middle 19th century or older
Size (approx.): 9.5" tall
Smaller examples like these are usually the earlier mirrors.  They were generally made with a longer handle in the late Edo and Meiji Periods. This one would date to the mid to late 19th century 1850-1880's. A fine example!
