    Description

    Kagami
    Cast Bronze Mirror with Handle
Two Birds in Flight with Flowers Motif
    Signed Fujiwara Mitsunaga in Kanji
Dainty cast bronze mirror measures 3-3/8" across by 7-1/8” long but weighs an impressive 6 ounces. No damage — just normal wear from age and use. Reflective side has scuffing with minimal scratches. Artwork side has dark even patina. Research shows the Fujiwara Mitsunaga name was in use by generations of master/student between 1709-1862, although the exact age of this mirror is unknown. A very nice example at a reasonable price.
